It is not necessary for you to have a medical background, just a desire to help other people in the community in which you live. FAST play an important role in the Camposol community, indeed we are the envy of several neighbouring urbanisations.
If you have the ability to remain calm under pressure, you may wish to consider joining our First Responder Team. Responders receive free training in basic life saving techniques, to include CPR (Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation), use of AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators), administering immediate First Aid for a variety of conditions such as falls, burns,
Life-Threatening Bleeds, and a whole variety of other medical conditions that may arise.
We do not attempt to be a substitute professional medical ambulance treatment, but we are a life line until that help arrives.
We also have a FAST Support team – So if being a responder is not the role for you, we have vacancies within this team too.
Roles such as Fundraisers which include the FAST Nurses collection points, Roster Manager, Vehicle Check manager, Shed Manager, Treasurer, Publicity Manager, Vice Treasurer, Secretary, Uniform Manager, Head of Purchasing and Vice President.
In return for your time, which can be as little or as much as you wish, all FAST Responders/ Community Support volunteers receive free uniforms and get to meet some fantastic likeminded people.
FAST volunteers work a variety of shifts chosen by them to fit in with their individual needs. We aim to have cover 24/7, 7 days per week throughout the year.
Becoming a volunteer is rewarding.
