COMMUNITY CPR SESSIONS
These totally free 2 hour sessions are held in the Cultural Centre, Sector B, Camposol 1800-2000.
They currently take place once every 2 months & when the next sessions date has been confirmed it is advertised on the FAST Facebook page as well as various Camposol related Facebook pages & at the FAST Stall outside Ally Pallys 1030-1230 Fridays.
To register your interest/request places please email fastlearncpr@outlook.com & I will reply confirming your place. If you wish to reserve more than 1 place (eg if your partner wishes to attend) please say how many places you would like.
If you suffer a Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) the only treatment you can give to increase the casualty’s chances of survival is CPR – Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation.
Without any intervention brain damage will commence within 4 minutes & death is highly likely within 8-10 minutes.
80% of out of hospital SCA’s occur in the home – if your loved one was unfortunate enough to require life saving assistance would you know what to do?
We also teach how to deliver CPR to infants & children which is an invaluable skill for those who have children/grandchildren visiting.
We also cover calling 112 to request an ambulance & dealing with a choking infant, child & adult – another potential life saving skill which could prove invaluable.
Less than 50% of all adults have stated they would not know what to do when faced with a cardiac arrest – Does this describe you? If so this could be the most useful 2 hours you have ever committed to.
